17-year-old teenagers Ahlee Jackson and Callum Matheson killed in accident

Two Scottish teenagers died early Sunday morning after their Skoda Fabia VRS struck a lamp-post and a wall before going into a tree, authorities confirmed.

Witnesses said the black vehicle driven by Callum Matheson failed to make a bend on the road and went straight into the post before destroying a 12-inch thick wall.

Highlands and Islands Fire and Rescue Service cut Matheson and his 17-year-old passenger, Ahlee Jackson from the vehicle.  They were both pronounced dead at the scene.

It is unclear whether alcohol played a role in the accident.
