A 21-month-old Long Island, New York, boy drowned in a swimming police in East Islip on Independent Day.
Police were called to 26 Laurel Avenue shortly after noon yesterday after Byron McArthur was found by a family member at the bottom of a swimming pool.
Bryon’s mother administered CPR to him before he was rushed to Southside Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead.
It is unclear whether the toddler was being supervised when he climbed up the ladder of the above ground pool.
The accident is being investigated.
