3-year-old Cassandra Weronick found frozen to death wearing only a diaper and T shirt with no shoes

Police in Mamakating, NY, said that 3-year-old Cassandra Weronick wandered out of her home when everyone was asleep last night, and was found frozen to death in the snow early this morning.

According to reports, Weronick walked about three quarters of a mile from her upstate NY home late last night, when her family was asleep.

Early this morning when the family realized she was missing, they called the police and a search team went looking for her.

Someone walking along a local street found the little girl in the snow without shoes, and only a diaper and a T-shirt on.

Family members said that this is not the first time that the girl had left the house in the middle of the night.
