Four teenagers were arrested in Toronto’s east end Tuesday afternoon and charged with attempted armed robbery of another teen.

The three 16-year-olds and one 17-year-old boy were arrested with the help of residents who called 911 after hearing gunshots near Earl Haig Junior Public School and Monarch Park Collegiate.

The target of the robbery was not injured and police have not released the names of the suspects.
