62 people found suffocated in a container in Pakistan

Pakistani officials found at least 62 people suffocated to death in a container packed with illegal immigrants, and dozens unconscious.

Authorities said the truck, which contained more than 100 people, entered Pakistan from Afghanistan and was headed to Iran.

According to reports, when the white container was opened the stench suggested that some might have been dead for a few days.

The whereabouts of the driver is unknown.

The survivors were taken to hospital in the city of Quetta
