70-year old William Oller Sr. shoots 50 year old son over karaoke singing

A 70-year-old California man who hated his son’s karaoke singing shot him at least three times in order to shut him up.

William Oller Sr. told police that his son, William Oller Jr., had been singing country songs and he had asked him to stop.

Reports say when Oller Jr. failed to stop, his father allegedly told him, “I’m going to shut you up,” and went outside to his truck and got his gun.  He then shot his son  in the shoulder, arm and chest.

Father and son began to struggle over the weapon which discharged and wounded Oller Sr. in the leg.

It is unclear who called 911 but when paramedics arrived Oller Sr. told the medics “I can’t believe he shot me.”

Oller Jr. was treated for non-life threatening injuries.  Oller Sr. was treated at a hospital and although his son did not want him arrested police charged him with attempted murder and other charged.

He was remanded in custody in lieu of $500,000 bond.

It is believed that Oller Sr. suffers from some mental illness.
