Canadian authorities have arrested three men who were involved in an early afternoon shooting in Toronto on Thursday.

Abdullah Abdullahi, 24, Dahir Jama, 23, and a 20-year-old man, whose name was not available, were charged with attempted murder and firearms related offenses.

Police said the shooting took place around 1:50 p.m. in the courtyard of a townhouse complex on Tandridge Circle northwest of Albion Road and Highway 401.

Officers responding to shots being fired found a man suffering from a non-life threatening  injuring to the upper leg area.  The victim, who is either in his late teens or early 20s, was taken to a hospital.

The suspects had already left the scene when the police arrived but they were apprehended a short time later.

Reports say police found one weapon on one of the suspects and another behind a townhouse.
