An accident between two vehicles in New Canaan last week sent seven people to Norwalk Hospital.
It is believed alcohol and speed played a role in the accident.
Police said nine teenagers were traveling eastbound on Michigan Road in a Chevrolet Suburban last Friday when the 17-year-old driver ran a stop sign and collided with a Mini Cooper on Smith Ridge Road.
The collision caused the SUV to flip over and land on its roof.
When police arrived at the scene four teens were standing near the SUV. The other five had fled the scene on foot.
One of the five later returned to the scene of the accident and another was later found trying to enter a taxi.
The remaining three were later found at their homes.
Police said the passengers in the SUV were between the ages of 16 and 18.
The 22-year-old driver of the Mini Cooper and his 27-year-old female passenger, both from Westchester, New York, were transported to Norwalk with non-life threatening injuries.
Five of the teenagers were also treated at the same hospital for non-life threatening injuries.
The accident is still being investigated.
