Ron Palillo, the actor who played Arnold Horshack in the 1970s TV show Welcome Back, Kotter, died earlier today at his West Palm Beach, Florida, home at the age of 63.
Palillo, who was born in Cheshire, Connecticut, graduated from the University of Connecticut, where he later returned to teach in the late 1990s.
Before teaching, Palillo had a successful career on television, however, he was best known for his role as Arnold Dingfelder Horshack, a teenager at a dysfunctional Brooklyn, New York, high school who was known for calling out “ooh, ooh, ooh, Mr. Kotter.”
Details surrounding the actor’s death are not immediately known.
