Actress Valerie Harper given three months to live: Reports

There are reports that actress Valerie Harper, who is best known for her role as Rhoda Morgenstern in the Mary Tyler Show, is gravely ill.

One tabloid reporting on the actress’ health is People magazine, which claims that doctors gave Valeria less than three months to live.

The 73-year-old actress, who was initially diagnosed with cancer in 2009, said she was diagnosed with the rare brain cancer, leptomeningeal carcinomatosis, on January 15 of this year.

This type of cancer, which occurs in approximately five percent of patients with the illness, occurs when the cancer cells spread into the fluid-filled membrane surrounding the brain.
