An early morning fire at an Exxon gas station in Maryland on Wednesday killed a man pumping gas.
Investigators said it’s too early to say what caused the fire at the Frederick gas station killing Ainsley Ronald Gordon, Jr.
Maryland State Police and Frederick County Sheriff’s deputies responded to a report of a vehicle fire at the gas station on I-270 around 4:00 a.m. and found Gordon, 26, engulfed in flames.
Firefighters were able to put out the flames and Gordon was airlifted to the Med Star burn unit in Washington, D.C where he died of his injuries.
Authorities are asking anyone who was at the gas station and saw anything unusual to call Maryland Arson Hotline at 1800-492-7529
