Alex and Derek King brothers who killed their dad speak out about their ‘mistake’

Two Florida brothers who murdered their father when they were 12 and 13-years-old are now seeking a new beginning after serving time in prison.

Alex and Derek King were found guilty of beating their father to death with a baseball bat in 2001 while he was sleeping.

After the murder, the boys tried to destroy the evidence by burning down the house they once shared with their father, Terry King.

Prosecutors in the case said the boys then ran away with convicted child molester, Rich Chavis, whom Derek had been living with.

Chavis was initially tried for the murder, but was acquitted after Derek and Alex confessed to the crime.

The brothers are now going public with their story saying they made a terrible mistake and have now chosen to be productive citizens.

They deserve a second chance.
