Alex Rodriguez admitted today to using performance-enhancing drugs from 2001-2003.

A-Rod said that the pressures of being baseball’s highest paid player caused him to juice up.

“When I arrived in Texas in 2001, I felt an enormous amount of pressure,” Rodriguez said.  “I felt like I had all the weight of the world on top of me and I needed to perform, and perform at a high level every day.”

In the confession interview with ESPN today the ballplayer said, “I did take a banned substance and, you know, for that I am very sorry and deeply regretful.  And although it was the culture back then and Major League Baseball overall was very…I just feel that…you know, I am just sorry.  I am sorry for that time, I am sorry to fans.  I am sorry for my fans in Texas.  It wasn’t until then that I ever thought about substance of any kind, and since then I have proved to myself and to everyone that I don’t need any of that.”

A-Rod came clean just 2 days after SI reported that he tested positive for steroids in 2003.

WHAT A FREAKING LIAR! HE TOLD KATIE COURIC A BOLD FACE LIE THAT HE NEVER USED STEROIDS.

HE SHOULD BE REQUIRED TO GIVE BACK THE MONEY, MAYBE NOT ALL, BUT SOME.
