The body of Frederick Potts, who was accused of sexually assaulting young girls, was found this past weekend in a state park in Southbury, Connecticut.

Potts, 58, who was the husband of Oxford Town Clerk, Margaret Potts, was free on a $150,000 bond when he committed suicide.

He was charged with first-degree sexual assault and two counts of third-degree sexual assault and risk of injury to a minor, involving two girls over an extended period of time.

Authorities said that someone walking through the park found the body of the alleged sex offender.
