What the hell is going on up there in Alaska?  Last Saturday morning, police arrested former Alaska state lawmaker Nick Stepovich and charged him with possession of cocaine.

Mr. Stepovich and a male companion were arrested behind a garbage bin around 1:00am early Saturday morning.  According to the police report, “The two men were standing face-to-face and appeared to be holding something.  Their hands were in very close proximity to one another and they were both starring down at their hands, or, at the object in their hands.”

The report went on to state, that both men started to walk away when they spotted the police officer. The officer directed them to stop, but only Mr.Stepovich did, after he fumbled with something in his pockets.  Mr. Stepovich then walked around the trash bin and threw something into the container, which, the officer later retrieved.

Mr.Stepovich is the son of former Alaska Gov. Mike Stepovich and represented Alaska as a delegate in the Republican National Convention this past September.

Mr.Stepovich was arraigned Saturday morning then released after bail was posted.
