Antigua and Barbuda has fired its chief financial regulator, who has been accused of accepting bribes from Texas billionaire Sir Allen Stanford.
Sixty-three year old Leroy King was suspended from his duties as head of Antigua’s financial services in March.
Antigua’s attorney general said that King would now be dismissed from the commission with immediate effect.
Stanford was indicted on June 19 in Virginia for fraud and obstruction related to a Ponzi scheme.
