New York police are investigation the murder of 19-year-old Daniel Vargas, whose body was found underneath a car in the Sunset Park section of Brooklyn.

According to reports, the teenager’s body was found around 12:40 a.m. Christmas Eve by Ashraf Ali, who heard a dragging sound coming from underneath his car.

After driving approximately 15feet, Ali, 23, stopped his vehicle and saw a leg sticking out from under his car. After a closer look, he saw a clear plastic bag with the rest of Vargas’ body.

Medical Examiner Ellen Borakove said Vargas suffered massive head and brain injuries as well as strangulation.

It is believed a nearby surveillance camera captured Vargas’ body being dumped on the street late Wednesday night.

It is not clear if police have a suspect in custody.
