Two armed robbers forced their way into a dormitory at the University of Hartford campus yesterday, officials said.
According to reports, two male students were in the Park River Dormitory when the two men forced their way in and started searching for items to steal.
The students were able to escape and notify campus security who then called 911.
The residence hall was put on locked down; not allowing students to enter the dorm, and campus security verified that the students inside the dorm were safe.
A university spokesperson did not say how the two students were able to leave the room and how long they were in the dorm with the robbers.
