A judge on the Australian version of “American Idol” was fired from the show after an on-air stunt of his popular radio show caused a public outrage down under.

Kyle Sandilands the host of Australia’s number one morning radio show “The Kyle and Jackie O Show” was suspended from the radio station after he strapped a 14-year-old girl to a lie detector machine and questioned her about being raped when she was 12.

After the girl’s confessed about the rape, the radio host allegedly said, “Right, and is that the only sexual experience you’ve had?”

Sandilands co-host Jackie O’Neil quickly put an end to any further on-air discussions when she realized the conversation had crossed the line, and the radio station has since suspended the show after an outcry from listeners, Australian Prime Minister Kevin Rudd and the child’s mother, who had accompanied her daughter to the popular radio show.

The outrage then crossed over to “Australian Idol” where Sandilands is also a judge on the popular TV show, where he was fired over the row.
