An Australian Olympic swimmer has been criticized for taking a picture of herself in a sexy bikini and then tweeting it.

Earlier this week Stephanie Rice posted the picture of herself in a white and black bikini that was given to her as a birthday gift from swimsuit designer Ellie Gonsalves and since then, critics have been blasting the triple gold medalist claiming that the swimsuit “too sexy.”

Not one to back down from criticisms, Stephanie posted the same picture on her Instagram page.

Stephanie’s boasting could have however caused her some problems with Speedo, who is one of her sponsors.

Controversy is not anything new to Stephanie. She was forced to make a tearful public apology in 2010 when she wrote on her Facebook page “suck on that fa**ots” after Australia beat South Africa in a Rugby Union match.

You look absolutely beautiful….forget the haters!
