The upscale high-end children’s clothing store “Best & Co,” which was once owned by Greenwich resident Susie Hilfiger, shut its doors and filed for bankruptcy.
After 12 years on Greenwich Ave, the retail store that once sold a toddler’s dress for $279 and a baby’s cashmere blanket for $375, posted a sign on their front door announcing the bankruptcy proceedings.
The company, which was sold to FAO Schwartz in 2007, which was eventually bought by Toy R US, also shut their boutique in Bergdorf Goodman and their Nantucket location.
Best & Co is just the latest of many high-end retail stores to shut its door on the tony Greenwich shopping street.
