Update: 9/29/09

Authorities identified the dead woman as 37-year-old Leah Questin.  Questin was reported missing on September 12 by a friend. A 35-year-old man is currently in police custody

The body of a woman stuffed in a suitcase was discovered around 1:30 yesterday afternoon in a dried out pond known as “Old Pond” in Kent, England.

A spokesperson for the Kent police said it is believed that the body had been underwater for sometime but became visible after the water level in the pond had dropped.

Authorities said an autopsy, which is scheduled for later today, would determine how she died and how old she was.
