Boy, 7, leads cops on high-speed car chase

A seven-year-old Utah boy who did not want to go to church took his parents car and led Weber County police on a wild car chase last Sunday.

The boy, who was not identified because of his age, was weaving in and out of lanes and missed some stop signs during his 10-block chase with Plain City police.

A police dash camera videotaped the incident including the youngster getting out of the car and running into his house.

When questioned by police as to why he took the car, the boy said, “Because it was too hot to go to church.”

Authorities said that charges would not be brought against the boy.
