A Pennsylvania woman is said to have murdered her groom-to-be on what would have been their wedding day.

Hours before Na Cola Darcel Franklin was due to marry Billy Rafeal Brewster in Whitehall Township on Saturday, she took a knife and stabbed her husband-to-be twice, puncturing his heart.

Thirty-six year old Brewster was pronounced dead around 3:24 a.m. Saturday.

Police were called to an apartment at 1580 Olympic Circle North around 2:15 a.m. Saturday, where they found Brewster bleeding from the torso outside on his front lawn.

Brewster was rushed to Lehigh Valley Hospital-Cedar Crest where he died.

A couple who had traveled from Illinois for the wedding and were staying with the couple, said thirty-one year old Franklin and Brewster had been arguing just before she stabbed him.

The nature of the argument was not immediately known.

During her arraignment, a crying Franklin told the judge, “I did not kill him on purpose.”  She then went on to say “I want my family back…I want to go home.”

Franklin and Brewster were scheduled to be married around 10 a.m. Saturday.

Four children were inside the apartment at the time of the incident.
