A New York City couple was killed by a fallen tree while walking their dog Monday evening near their home.

Jessie Streich-Kest and Jacob Vogelman’s bodies were not discovered until Tuesday morning under a fallen tree on Ditmas Avenue.

Friends said 24-year-old Streich-Kest and 23-year-old Vogelman believed the storm had passed when they took their white pit bull dog, Max, out around 8:00 p.m. Monday.

Their bodies were discovered around 8:00 a.m. Tuesday.

Streich-Kest was a teacher at Bushwick High School for Social Justice and Vogelman was a student at Brooklyn College.

Max, who is being taken care of by neighbors, suffered minor injuries.
