A New York City on his way home from work on Monday was struck and killed by a fire truck responding to an emergency call.
Forty-seven year old Reginald Brown had just gotten off work as the house manager for the Doe Fund on Poster Avenue in Brooklyn around 4:00 p.m., when he was struck by a FDNY truck near Marcy Avenue and Monroe Street in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Brown, whose motorcycle was totaled in the crash, was rushed to Woodhull Hospital, where he died from his injuries.
Authorities said the truck, from Ladder 111, was on its way to a rubbish fire on Nostrand Avenue and Quincy Street and its sirens were on.
No criminality is suspected.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThis is completely an outrage, an innocent man’s life was taken away from his family & friends. I also knew this young man since he was a young child. He was a very loving & cheerful person. I am completely speechless that this well loved Son, Brother, Husband, Father, & Friend was taken away, from so many people who loved him, because of a careless, inconsiderate, and senseless act by a 17 year old. When acts like this take Lives it’s NOT innocent, its’ IRRESPONSIBLE!!!!!!!!
