Working on tip, police in California nabbed a 51-year-old woman wheeling a trashcan full of body parts around the streets of Ontario Monday afternoon.
A resident on Holmes Avenue called police around 2:30 p.m. Monday after spotting Carmen Montenegro, of San Bernardino, wheeling what appeared to be a human body.
When police arrived, they found a man’s dismembered body inside the garbage container on the side of the curb waiting to be picked up by city sanitation workers.
Neighbors say Montenegro occasional stayed at the home where she was seen wheeling the body from. They said she was a relative of the homeowner.
A relative of Montenegro’s to reporters she came to the home asking for help disposing the body. They said after she got no offers, she wheeled the can in front of a nearby home.
