Reports say the boy was at home in their rented Souldern, Oxfordshire, house with his father, who is a colonel in the US Air Force, his mother and two younger sisters, when the incident occurred around 10:00 a.m. Sunday.

It is believed that the teenager had been arguing with his father moments before he took the rifle that his father uses to shoot rabbits and shot himself in the head.

The boy is currently in hospital in Oxford fighting for his life.

The American family had moved into the stone mansion belonging to another American, Hilary Hegworth Davis, last December.

Neighbors said the boy’s father was due to leave the Air Force and was studying at Oxford University to become a professor in War Studies.

Authorities have not identified the family

It is believed that the 26-year-old unnamed man was intoxicated when he fell from the upper level of the ship’s atrium to the lobby level late Friday night when the ship, Carnival Fantasy, was docked in Nassau.

The man was pronounced dead at the scene.

The captain was given permission early this morning to leave the Bahamas and head back to South Carolina.

The Carnival Fantasy was on a five-day cruise.  The ship left Charleston, South Carolina on Wednesday and was scheduled to return on Monday.

American born Chatel confirmed his wife’s death in a press release saying in part, “today confirmed the personal tragedy that happened this morning.”  He then he went on to demand privacy for his children,  his family and himself.

Although Chatel did not say how his wife killed her, sources say she was hanged.

Herrenschmidt’s mother is said to have discovered her body.

Herrenschmidt married Chatel, a native of Maryland, in 1991.  They have four children.

Fabian Palmer, who worked as a pool attendant for the cruise line, allegedly told authorities that he thought the teenager was two years older when he had sex with her in the men’s locker room of the ship.

It is alleged that Palmer befriended the victim and her family shortly after they boarded the Adventures of the Seas in Maryland on December 17.

It is unclear when the alleged crime took place, but on December 23, the alleged victim told authorities that Palmer had raped her in the locker room.  She said the assault ended after another employee entered the room.

On January 11, 25-year-old Palmer was charged with one count of sex abuse on a minor.

Reports say Palmer admitted to having sex with the girl telling investigators he thought she was 16.  He did not say whether he thought the sex was consensual.

Fifty-two year old Shane Ramsundar along with his 48-year-old wife, Gomatee, and their 23-year-old daughter, Shantal, were called “the most despicable gang of criminals” by Supreme Court Justice Kenneth Holder during sentencing on Wednesday.

Assistant DA Catherine Kane said Shane Ramsundar, of Richmond Hill in Queens, posed as a federal agent who told undocumented West Indians living in the city that he could stall their deportation and get them their green cards.

Kane said Ramsundar’s wife and daughter backed up the bogus claims and the unsuspecting immigrants gave him a total of $1.8million, including a man with multiple sclerosis who gave his total savings of $43,000.

“They stole from their own,” Kane said.  “People [who were] afraid of reporting to the police, terrified of being deported back to a place where they had no one to go home to.”

In addition to the green card scam, authorities say Shane Ramsundar also told his victims that he could get them cheap homes that were seized by the federal government in Florida and Queens.

It is believed that the family used the money to purchase luxury items and vacations.

Shane Ramsundar was sentenced to 235 years in prison; Gomatee Ramsundar received 154 years and Shantal Ramsundar 30 years.

Sixty nine year old Phillip Bruce Shepard, who worked at a private Phnom Penh clinic, was arrested last July after the boys’ parents filed a complaint against him.

 Authorities began monitoring the Michigan native behavior and they caught him going into a hotel with two boys, whom he paid to have sex with.

The judge who sentenced Shepard also ordered that he is expelled from the country after he serves his time.

Initially, Eder Rojas, a former flight attendant with Compass Airlines, had told investigators that he had set the fire on the aircraft in 2008 because he was unhappy about working the route from Minneapolis to Regina, Saskatchewan in Canada; however, in a letter he later wrote to the court he said he did it because he wanted to be a hero by putting out the fire.

Just before boarding the plane in May 2008, Rojas had asked suppliers for extra paper towels.  With a lighter he had brought on board the plane, Rojas started a fire in the bathroom of the plane that was carrying 72 passengers and four crew-members.

The captain was forced to make an emergency descent from it cruising altitude of 30,000 feet to a landing at Fargo airport in only eight minutes.  Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.

After he was charged with setting the fire on the plane, Rojas posted bail but quickly fled to his native Mexico.  He was later captured by Mexican officials and extradited back to the U.S.

Reports say five weeks before the May 2008 incident; Rojas had boarded another Compass flight, where the pilot was forced to make an emergency landing because of a bathroom fire.

No charges were ever filed in that incident.

 Pierre Lagrange filed a lawsuit in Manhattan federal court accusing Knoedler Gallery and its former president, Ann Freedman, of duping him into believing that the canvas painting, which he paid $17 million for, including commission fees, was authentic and had come from a “private collector who had inherited it.”  However when Lagrange went to sell the artwork at Sotheby’s last year they refused it claiming there were “questions concerning it provenance and authenticity.”

Lagrange, a co-founder of the GLG partners hedge fund in London, claims that he recently had the painting tested by a preeminent material-analysis and consulting firm who said that the paint that was used in the artwork, “Untitled,1950” was discovered in 1957, a year after Pollock’s died in a drunk-driving crash.

In his court filings, Lagrange says that “in reality, the work is a forgery and the provenance is demonstrably false,” and is demanding his $15.3 million along with unspecified damages for “willful and intentional misconduct.”

Forty-nine year old Lagrange, who recently separated from his wife, Catherine, and is living with his gay lover, fashion designer Roubi L’Roubi, is facing what is turning out to be one of the biggest divorce payouts in Britain.

He recently sold his home in Kensington Gardens, which he bought for $30 million in 2004 for $130 million to Chelsea football club owner, Roman Abramovich.

Muzaffar Hussain is accused of having his 30-year-old daughter Uzma Naurin, a native of New York City, and her Scottish businessman husband Saif Rehman, 31, killed on November 1.

Authorities say the couple, who was about to move to the U.S. permanently, was in Pakistan for Rehman’s brother’s wedding.  They were traveling in a taxi cab with Rehman’s sister and her two-year-old daughter, when four gunmen stopped the vehicle and shot the couple.  The driver and the two other passengers were uninjured.

During an investigation, it was revealed that Naurin’s family was not happy with her marrying Rehman.  Detectives found out that Naurin was once married to a man in England, who committed suicide.  It is believed that her family wanted her to marry her first husband’s brother but she refused and later married Rehman.

 After the killings, Hussain returned to Jersey City, New Jersey, where he was arrested.
