Robison became a person of interest after officers found a body inside the same home on Wednesday.

The shootings began around 2:00 p.m. Tuesday when four RCMP arrived at the home to execute a warrant.

As the officers approached the home someone opened fire hitting two.  The officers, a five-year veteran and a 2-year veteran, were taken to Edmonton hospitals where they were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

It is unclear whether the officers were there to serve Robison or the deceased and authorities have not said why the body was not discovered  until Wednesday; however, when the officers arrived at the home Robison was seen fleeing in a black 2000 Chevrolet Silverado with Alberta plate EZE 245.

Police are still searching the residence and outbuildings.

Officers responding to an emergency call at a home in Honey Harbor around 3:00 a.m. Sunday, found the victim suffering from facial injuries.

The victim was taken to Georgia Bay General Hospital in Midland where he was treated for non-life threatening injuries.

Officers arrested one of their own, Elliott Duhamel, a five-year member of the Ontario Provincial Police.

Reports say Duhamel was off-duty at the time of the incident.

It is unclear whether a weapon was involved in the altercation.

Duhamel, who was not placed on suspension, was released from custody after promising to appear in Midland court on April 5.

The relationship between Duhamel and the victim is not known.

Police responding to a 911 call in Bathurst early Monday morning found the body of 27-year-old Jason Scott inside a basement apartment.

Police said Scott did not live in the apartment, but he was known to the woman who lives there.

It is unclear what led officers to a home about 20 minutes away where Tanya Couture lived, but when they arrived, they found 38-year old Couture dead.

It is believed that Scoot killed Couture, who was known to him, before committing suicide.

Police did not say how they both died.

Twenty-seven year old reggae singer Metussala “Mandela” Mannings, of Toronto, and the others were arrested after airport officials seized 17 boxes in an air-freight shipment that arrived at Pearson Airport last week addressed to a bogus company.

Authorities said the cocaine was found in hollowed-out star apples in the boxes which also included pineapples and mangoes.

Investigators were first alerted to the crime last August when RCMP seized a marine container in Saint John, N.B. containing 19 kilograms of cocaine stuffed in hollowed-out pineapple.

Several months later, authorities seized another 115 kilograms of marijuana at the Windsor-Detroit border that was hidden in a shipment of watermelon on two trucks.

Arrested were 63-yearold Basil Barnett Blair, of Toronto, 28-year-old Susan Geneva O’Neil, of Scarborough, and 38-year-old Kenneth Arthur Wong, of Ajax.

Authorities said last week’s seized cocaine was worth more than $5 million.

Police said the uninvited teenagers became angry after they were told to leave the Sweet 16 birthday party, which was being held at the Lithuanian House at 1573 Bloor Street West.

While outside, the boys got into a confrontation with several invited guests and then stabbed two men, ages 17 and 20.

The suspects then fled the scene but within hours two, both 15, were arrested at their homes.  The third, a 14-year-old, surrendered early Monday morning.

The three boys were all charged with two counts of aggravated assault, two counts of assault with a weapon and weapons dangerous.  Additionally, the 14-year-old was charged with failing to comply with a recognizance order.

The victims were treated for non-life threatening injuries.

The teenager was playing at the Erskine Johnson Arena in Carp when he collapsed around 6:20 p.m. Sunday.

CPR was immediately performed at the scene before he was rushed by paramedics to Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario, where he later died.

It is believed that teenager, who has not been identified, died of a cardiac arrest.

Authorities have identified the 19-year-old woman who was killed early Monday morning on the Gardiner Expressway as Katelyn Traverso.

It is still unclear whether Traverso, who was an aspiring actress and model from Orangeville, was pushed or jumped from an eastbound Toyota Corolla when she struck by a tractor trailer.

Police are still investigating whether the incident was an accident or a homicide.

Canadian authorities are investigating how a 19 year-old Toronto area woman ended up on a busy highway early Monday morning.

The woman, who has not been identified, was found on the eastbound lanes of the Gardiner Expressway around 2:30 a.m. Monday.

Authorities believe she was a passenger in a vehicle but it’s unclear whether she jumped or was thrown from the vehicle.

The woman was taken to a hospital, where she later died.

Witnesses told reporters they saw several officers surrounding a man, believed to be about 29, shortly after 10:00 a.m. Friday near Danforth and Coxwell avenues.

They said about six officers approached the man, who was wearing what looked like a blue hospital gown, from behind while three other officers were in the front of him.

The officers then tackled the man to the ground and while on the ground one of the officers shot and killed him.

The man, who is believed to have been a patient Toronto East General Hospital, was taken to St. Michael’s Hospital, where he later died.

Authorities later said the man was threatening the officers with a pair of scissors.

The Makkovik boy, whose name has not been released, was found Wednesday about 19 kilometers from his abandoned snowmobile.

Authorities said the boy was reported missing around 7:30 p.m. Sunday, six hours after leaving his grandmother’s home to return to his home in Makkovik.

On Tuesday, rescuers had followed the snowmobile’s tracks to a spot on the frozen ocean near open water but there was no sign of the boy.  A helicopter spotted his abandoned snowmobile about 11 kilometers from his home on Wednesday.

The female body was discovered in a laneway on Clendenan Avenue in the Dundas and Keel Street area.

Const. Wendy Drummond told reporters that as of this time they do not have an identity of the deceased.

The woman’s death is being ruled as a homicide.
