Authorities say 60-year-old Marvin Potter was upset with Billy Payne Jr. and Payne’s girlfriend, Billie Jean Hayworth, after the couple deleted his daughter, Janelle Potter, from their Facebook “friend” list.

Police in Mountain City said an angry Marvin Potter and his friend, Jamie Curd, went to the couple’s home and shot them to death.  When they were finished, one of the men took a knife and slashed Payne’s throat.

The bodies were discovered by a neighbor, who had dropped by to pick up some mail that 36-year-old Payne and 23-year-old Hayworth were holding for him.

Payne was found in his bedroom and Hayworth was found in her baby’s bedroom with her unharmed 8-month-old child in her arms.

Prior to last week’s murder, the victims had complained to police that 30-year-old Janelle Potter had been harassing them after they deleted her as a friend on the social networking website.

Los Angeles Unified School District Superintendent John Deasy told reporters that the district never received any complaints from parents or students about Mark Berndt, who had been a teacher at Miramonte Elementary School in an unincorporated area of South Los Angeles for more than 30 years.

Sixty-one year old Berndt was arrested at his home on Monday following a year-long investigation.

Authorities said a film processer developing pictures for Berndt notified law enforcement after seeing the child porno.

Sources close to the investigation said some of the images show Berndt with his arm around children, ages 6 to 10, and some with his hand over their mouths.

There were also images of girls with a blue plastic spoon filled with a substance, which detectives later determined to be semen.  Authorities said a blue plastic spoon was recovered from Berndt’s classroom and it tested positive for semen, which had Berndt’s DNA.

There were also images of children with large, live cockroaches on their faces.

Authorities are urging parents to have their children, who were in Berndt’s class between 2008 and 2010, tested for sexually transmitted diseases.

Berndt, who was fired after police began their investigation, is being held on a $2.3 million bail.

Reports say Sandra Fiszer had become suspicious of her husband’s behavior after she found several calls on his cell phone to someone in Casper, Wyoming.

The police report says Fiszer pretended to be her husband and began texting the number.  The report says Sandra Fiszer was shocked when she received a reply from someone saying “was upset with Daddy because he had not contacted her in awhile.”

Sandra Fiszer is said to have identified herself as Saul “Abe” Fiszer’s wife and the teenager apologized and begged her not to contact her parents.

Sandra Fiszer confronted her husband, who admitted to communicating with the teenager and trading naked pictures with her, and he begged her not to notify the authorities but Sandra Fiszer contacted the police.

Police seized Fiszer’s cell phone and computer and found more than 450 images of child porn.

Sources say Fiszer, who is also a grandfather, had pictures and videos of boys and girls as young as four years old.

Fiszer was arrested and charged with three counts of possession of child porn.

Brother Rich High School student Joshua Merritt said he used to be friends with all three teens but things went sour after he began dating one of their cousins.

Seventeen-year-old Merritt told police the incident took place at one of the suspects’ home on December 23.

The senior told police he went to the 16-year-old suspect’s house two days before Christmas and for a while, things were cool with him and the teen and two other friends, another minor, aged 17, and 18-year-old Matthew Hermann, who was a recent graduate of Brother Rice.

Merritt told police that all of a sudden the 16-year-old suspect “walks over to me with a noose in his hand, he comes puts the noose around my neck and he begins to tighten the noose, almost strangled me to the ground.”

The victim said the teenagers prevented him from leaving the house and at one point one of the suspects pulled out a switchblade and pointed it at him threatening to kill him while using the N-word.

The teens, who were arrested on January 10, are all being charged with hate crimes. In addition, the 16-year-od was charged with aggravated assault with a dangerous weapon.

Reports say the 17-year-old told authorities that it was “just horseplay that went too far.”

Merritt said his former friends were upset that he was dating the white cousin of the 16-year-old.

Jennifer Mahoney, of Manalapan, was charged with two counts of sexual exploitation, aggravated sexual assault of a minor, child endangerment and child pornography.

She is currently being held at the Monmouth County Correctional Institute.

Mahoney was arrested on December 13, after FBI agents found the videos and an email notifying the man that she had made the videos, on the pedophile’s computer on October 2, 2011.

Authorities say Mahoney was babysitting a friend’s child when she live-streamed herself having sexual contact with the girl via Skype to a Robert Ramos Jr. in Texas.

In one of the three videos, which agents confiscated, Mahoney was seen having oral sex with the child while the girl was asleep.  In another, Mahoney was seen laughing and telling the child, who was in a bathtub to bend over so she can rinse her off.

The child then asked Mahoney, “Like a mermaid?” to which she replied “Like a mermaid, sweetheart,” before penetrating the child with her finger.

Authorities say the crime took place in Mahoney’s elderly father’s home, who was not aware of the assaults.

It is unclear whether Mahoney suffers from a mental illness.

The video, which was originally posted on BamaSportsForum before YouTube, was taken on January 9 at a Krystal restaurant in New Orleans after the Bowl Championship Series where Alabama beat LSU 21-0.

The video showed a passed-out LSU fan with his head on the table surrounded by several University of Alabama fans.

A male Alabama fan can be seen in the video taking his genitals out of his pants as he climbs over the unconscious victim’s and began grinding it into the man’s face.

Rival fans were also seen sticking straws and fingers up the man’s nose while a person in the background was heard saying, “This guy’s life is over.”

Authorities were able to identify two people in the video, Patrick Setterstrom and his girlfriend, Ellen Cassin.

Setterstrom, whose father is Randy Patrick Setterstrom, the sports director for WKRG TV in Alabama, was seen in the video attempting to expose himself, but luckily for him Cassin stopped it.

Surprisingly, no one in the fast-food restaurant reported the incident to police, including the victim.  But authorities say it is likely that the man did not know that he was the victim to a possible crime.

The attacked occurred inside their Bedford-Stuyvesant home around 4:00 a.m. Friday.

The victim was taken to Woodhull Hospital, where she died a short time later.

Reports say the mother, who has not been identified, thought “demons had gotten into her and God wasn’t there to help.”

The suspect was currently being evaluated at the same hospital where her daughter died

Police in Texas shot and killed a 15-year-old boy who they said brought a handgun to his Brownsville middle school.

Police were called to Cummings Middle School around 8:00 a.m. Wednesday after receiving reports that a student had a weapon.

Upon arrival, officers saw the teenager with the handgun in the hallway and ordered him to drop the weapon. 

It is unclear what happened next that caused police to discharge their weapons, but the eighth-grader was shot.

He was taken to Valley Baptist Medical Center, where he died.

The incident forced the school to go on lockdown and students were relocated to a nearby high school.

The man, Michael Fuller, was arrested after he tried to use the money at the Wal-Mart in Lexington.

Fuller, who insisted that the money was real, was attempting to purchase a vacuum cleaner, a microwave and some other items totaling $476 with the $1million when store employees called the police on November 17.

He was arrested and charged with felony counts of attempting to obtain property by false pretense and uttering a forged instrument.

He is being held on $17,500 bond at Davidson County Jail.

The largest bill ever printed in the U.S. was $100,000, which was printed from December 18, 1934 to January 9, 1935.  It was only used for transactions between Federal Reserve Banks

Authorities say the $3,200 diamond engagement ring that Ryan Jarvis gave to his fiancée, Amber LaFountain, last Monday was a ring he had stolen from Zales.

Friends reported Jarvis to authorities after recognizing the solitaire that LaFountain posted on Facebook page as the stolen ring they had seen on the local news.

When questioned by Burlington police, Jarvis said he had been looking at rings at the jewelry store for about an hour, and when the sales person showed him the $3,200 ring he took it and ran out of the store.

Jarvis, who did not have a criminal record, pleaded not guilty to retail theft.
