Not sure who started this rumor and if there is any truth to it, but residents in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, might be getting a new famous neighbor, Barack and Michelle Obama.

The rumor is that the Obama’s are planning to buy the old Katharine Hepburn home on the water.

There are some residents who say the Obama’s children have been seen in the sleepy town.

The late actress’ home, which sits on 4 acres with 680feet of waterfront, is currently on the market for $28 million.

The highly secretive 125 page document was found in a gutter about 100 yards from the Parliament House in Canberra, where President Obama attended several functions last week.

Dylan Welch, a reporter for The Age newspaper, found the documents on Thursday.

The booklet contained President Obama’s itinerary for the 27 hours he was in Australia, including with his security convoy and the cell phone numbers of senior U.S. and Australian officials.

The Australian government released a statement today saying they are conducting an investigation into the matter.

Was this carelessness or intentional?

According to Reuters, during last week’s G-20 summit in Cannes, President Obama and President Sarkozy were having a PRIVATE conversation and President Sarkozy allegedly told President Obama “I cannot bear Netanyahu, he’s a liar.”

The reporter said he and some other reporters, who had their headphones plugged into a translation box during the conversation, heard President Obama replied to Sarkozy’s comment with “You are fed up with him, but I have to deal with him even more often than you.”

Let’s assume President Obama did say this, what’s wrong with it? Maybe President Obama was saying, “Look, I don’t want to get involve with what you personally think of him because I have to deal with him on a regular basis.”  Or, maybe, just maybe there was a problem in the translation!!!

Also, I am sure the PRIVATE conversation was more than just one sentence, how come you are not sharing the rest with us, Reuters?

A spokesperson for the Taliban, who has claimed credit for the deadliest attack on American forces since the war started ten years ago, said Taliban fighters downed the helicopter during a heavy raid on insurgents holed up in Sayd Abad.

It is believed the helicopter was shot down by a rocket-propelled grenade in the eastern province of Wardak.

The forces had been conducting nightly raids against insurgent targets throughout Afghanistan.

Afghan President Hamid Karzai issued a statement saying, “My thoughts and prayers ago out to the families and loved ones of the Americans who were lost earlier today in Afghanistan.”

President Barack Obama released a statement this morning from Camp David saying the deaths are a “reminder of the extraordinary sacrifices made by the men and women of our military and their families.  We will draw inspiration from their lives, and continue to work of securing our country and standing up for the values that they embodied.”

Last Friday, Marilyn Davenport, an elected member of the Orange County Republican central committee, sent a picture of three chimps; two being the parents and the third being the president as a child, with the tagline “Now you know why no birth certificate.”

Shortly after someone leaked the email to the media Davenport quickly responded by saying she is not a racist. 

“Everybody who knows me knows that I am not a racist,” Davenport told a local newspaper.  “It was a joke. I have friends who are black. Besides, I only sent it to a few people…mostly people I didn’t think would be upset by it.”

The Tea Party activist, who represents the 72^nd Assembly District in Orange County, went on to say “I’m sorry if my email offended anyone. In no way did I even consider the fact he’s half black when I sent out the email. I simply found it amusing regarding the character of Obama and all the questions surrounding his origin of birth.”

Scott Baugh, the chairman of the Republican Party of Orange County has released a statement saying he plans to investigate the incident.  Baugh also calls for Davenport resignation saying the email was “highly inappropriate….it’s a despicable message, it drips with racism and I think she should step down from the committee.”

Upon hearing what Baugh had to say Davenport said, “I will not resign my central committee position over this matter.”

While at a town hall meeting in Oglethorpe County, Georgia, on Tuesday, an elderly man asked Rep. Paul Broun “Who is going to shoot Obama?”  Rather that addressing the question posed to him and denouncing violence, the congressman said “I know there’s a lot of frustration with the president.  We’re going to have an election next year.  Hopefully, we’ll elect somebody that’s going to be a conservatives, limited-government president that will take a smaller, who will sign bill to repeal and replace Obamacare.”

After the meeting, reporters asked the congressman’s press secretary if the politician heard the question and she yes he did, “Obviously, the question was inappropriate, so Congressman Broun moved on.”

After the incident   was reported in Athens Banner-Herald the congressman released a statement saying he “was stunned by the question and chose not to dignify it with a response; therefore, at that moment I moved on to the next person with a question.  After the event, my office took action with the appropriate authorities.  I deeply regret that this incident happened at all.  Furthermore, I condemn all statements…made in sincerity or jest….that threaten or suggest the use of violence against the President of the United States or any other public official.  Such rhetoric cannot and will not be tolerated.”

I guess Rep. Broun did not learn anything from Rep. Gabrielle Giffords’ shooting in Arizona.  The only reason the statement was released was after you got busted by the newspaper

Secret Service arrested 78-year-old Michael Stephen Bowden earlier this month, after he allegedly told a nurse at a Veteran Affairs clinic that he was “thinking of traveling to Washington, D.C. to shoot the president because he wasn’t doing enough to help African Americans.”

Bowden, who was in the Navy for four years, is believed to have also told the nurse, “If I had the opportunity to get Obama against the wall and shoot him, I would.”

Authorities say the remark came after the mental health nurse asked the former New York City police officer and fire captain if he was suicidal.

Secret Service later found three handguns and a riffle under Bowden’s bed and a dozen other guns in his Spartanburg, South Carolina home.

Bowden’s son, Kerry, said his family was not aware of his father’s suicidal tendencies until  agents came to his house on November 16.

The younger Bowden said he believes that his father was just “acting out” and he “did not have the intent.”  He said his father cannot “lift anything over 20 pounds” without having to take a “nitro because of his chest pain.”

Bowden, who is white, was ordered by a judge on November 18 to undergo a psychiatric evaluation. Once he is released, he would not be allowed to leave the state without permission.  He is also forbidden to own a firearm.

Hart, who was the chief financial officer for Am Vets, a veteran services organization in Maryland, made the announcement on CNBC.

During Monday’s interview Hart said, “I want to focus on the positive and be optimistic….somehow things will work out, there is an opportunity out there with Velma’s name on it that’s right around the corner.”

In a statement that was released by Am Vets, executive director Jim King said the non-profit organization is struggling to survive financially.

“It’s not anything she [Hart] did.  She got bit by the same snake that has bit a lot of people.  It was a move to cut our bottom line.”

Hart said she still supports President Obama. 

No word on whether the president reached out to Hart.

During an interview with the New York Post, the founder of the party, who is representing himself in the lawsuit, said the state violated his constitutional rights during his 2006 gubernatorial run when they removed the word from the ballot. 

“It’s a violation of constitutional rights,” he told the reporter.  He said he is suing because he wants “the Board of Elections to pay for the years that they stripped us from the ballot [and] to pay us money damages.  They really broke our party up.”

He said he is not deterred that a previous judge had tossed out a similar lawsuit for $50 million. McMillan said this time around “We know we’re going to win.  I am filing the appeal papers now.”

The state said they removed the word because the name of the party was too long to put on the ballot.  State law requires party titles be uniformly printed and placing the full name of the party would have required its typeface to be too small.

However, the state accommodated McMillan in the November 2010 elections by condensing the title to “Rent is 2 Damn High Party.”

McMillan also told the reporter that although he is angry with President Obama, who failed to show up to an invited meeting, he is planning to send the president a letter in the near future to invite him to meet to discuss the nation’s economic issues. 

He said if the president snubs him a second time then he might consider running for president of America in 2010 either under his own party or as a Democrat. 

The report did not say why he added an additional $300 million to his new lawsuit.
