I believe that same-sex couples should be allowed to marry.

I’ve always believed that gay and lesbian Americans should be treated fairly and equally. I was reluctant to use the term marriage because of the very powerful traditions it evokes. And I thought civil union laws that conferred legal rights upon gay and lesbian couples were a solution.

But over the course of several years I’ve talked to friends and family about this. I’ve thought about members of my staff in long-term, committed, same-sex relationships who are raising kids together. Through our efforts to end the “Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell” policy, I’ve gotten to know some of the gay and lesbian troops who are serving our country with honor and distinction.

What I’ve come to realize is that for loving, same-sex couples, the denial of marriage equality means that, in their eyes and the eyes of their children, they are still considered less than full citizens.

Even at my own dinner table, when I look at Sasha and Malia, who have friends whose parents are same-sex couples, I know it wouldn’t dawn on them that their friends’ parents should be treated differently.

So I decided it was time to affirm my personal belief that same-sex couples should be allowed to marry.

I respect the beliefs of others, and the right of religious institutions to act in accordance with their own doctrines. But I believe that in the eyes of the law, all Americans should be treated equally. And where states enact same-sex marriage, no federal act should invalidate them.

Greta Van Susteren from Fox News told TMZ she invited Lindsay Lohan to the White House dinner on Saturday because she is rooting her.  They quoted her as saying, “I love comebacks, and I’d like her to succeed.”

As to why she invited Kim…..well, who knows, maybe it makes her relevant.

How the hell did this happened?…Kim Kardashian and Lindsay Lohan were both invited to the White House Correspondents’ Dinner this coming weekend.

These two dimwitted women were invited to the event by the folks over at Fox News Channel, and I think they did it to start drama.

It’s no secret that the President and First Lady Michelle Obama would never have their two daughters, Sasha and Malia, watch anything on television that these two train wrecks are in.

Can’t wait to find out what Fox has in mind for these two Saturday night.

President Obama first called the rapper a jackass a little over two years ago when he ruined Country singer Taylor Swift’s acceptance speech at the MTV Video and Music Awards in 2009.

While Taylor was giving her acceptance speech for winning the Best Female Video, Kanye interrupted her by grabbing the mic and saying:  “I’m sorry, but Beyonce had one of the best videos of all time.”

Speaking of the Jackass, Kris Jenner said she is thrilled that her daughter, Kim Kardashian, is dating him.

A source close to the Jenner/Kardashian clan said “Kris is thrilled about Kim’s new romance with Kanye.  She loves that they’re together and thinks Kanye is a huge step up for Kim after her marriage to Kris Humphries.”

Translation:  “Kanye is a huge step up for Kim after her marriage to Kris Humphries because Kanye is a very, very wealthy man.”

It’s unclear when and where the photos were taken, but the one of President Obama shows the Commander-in-Chief running around a swimming pool in shorts with a Super Soaker in hand.

The other was of VP Biden running around the yard next to water slides and inflatable bounce houses while holding a Super Soaker.

It looks like there are more photos to follow because VP Biden called the photos “Favorite Joe photos, volume 1”

Thousands of children and adults attended the White House Easter Egg Roll on the South Lawn on Sunday.

They feast on a brunch that included waffle and French toast in the morning and burgers and sandwiches in the afternoon prepared by celebrity chef Marcus Samuelsson.

In between the egg hunt and the storytelling, President Obama did few pushups on the basketball court then played a little bit of basketball with the Harlem Globetrotters.

A deaf student was lucky enough to get close to the President today during his speech about American energy at Prince George’s Community College in Largo, Maryland.

The student, who is only identified by his first name, Stephen, signed to the president: “I am proud of you,” and President Obama signed by “Thank you.”

While entertaining a small group at the White House Tuesday night for Black History Month, guitarist Buddy Guy put the president on the spot by asking him to sing.

A bashful Obama refused but Guy reminded him about the Al Green song that he sang.

Guy then told him “You gotta keep it up” and Mick Jagger handed President Obama a microphone and then the president began singing.

The event is scheduled to air on Monday on PBS

Before leaving the Great Eastern Restaurant, President posed for pictures and spoke with the owner and customers and one of the women got a little “too friendly” with him.

Check out the woman’s hand squeezing the president’s butt.

Not sure who started this rumor and if there is any truth to it, but residents in Old Saybrook, Connecticut, might be getting a new famous neighbor, Barack and Michelle Obama.

The rumor is that the Obama’s are planning to buy the old Katharine Hepburn home on the water.

There are some residents who say the Obama’s children have been seen in the sleepy town.

The late actress’ home, which sits on 4 acres with 680feet of waterfront, is currently on the market for $28 million.
