Reverend Colin Coward, a priest at St. John the Baptist church in Devizes, Wiltshire says he plans to enter into a civil partnership with male model boyfriend, Bobby Egbele, and afterwards, receive a blessing service in his church.

The announcement has divided many in the Christian community, and according to Rev. Coward, although gay marriage is a taboo subject “the church is now under huge pressure to change its stance and that pressure will only increase in the future.

“My goal is for everyone within the church to feel comfortable with the situation because at the moment the majority of gay Christians marry secretly,” Rev. Coward said.

Coward, who currently lives with Egbele, did not say whether the two will remain celibate after the union. The Church of England asks its ordained gay clergy to remain celibate.

Rev. Coward said that he and Egbele are committed Christians and it would be “unthinkable” for them not to get married in church with his congregation and friends.

He said he hopes his “wedding will inspire other and set a visible example to the church that” gay ministers are not “afraid.”

Rev. Coward was ordained as a priest in 1976 and in 1991 he announced to the church that he was gay.  In 1995, he started Changing Attitudes, an international gay and lesbian campaign group.

The couple met in 2007 while Rev. Coward was in Togo, West Africa, at a Christian conference. They became engaged earlier this year.

Egbele was born in Nigeria and runs the online clothing store Bobagrique.

The marriage is set to take place on October 9, at the Register Office in Devizes.  The couple will then go to St. John the Baptist church for the service, which is expected to be a Communion Eucharist service rather than a blessing, which is forbidden for homosexual couples.

The Rev said the church will bless almost anything, including animals, bombs, battleships, armies going to war but they will not bless gay couples.

 Stanger, 49, and her fiancé, Andy Friedman, decided to call it quits because he doesn’t want to have kids. The couple became engaged last year on her 49th birthday.

The reality show star told Life & Style that  she hasn’t given up on love just yet.

 “A good guy is out there for me,” she told the magazine.  “A life without kids has no meaning to me.”

I guess this is something that Stanger should have discussed with Friedman before saying yes to his proposal.

The on/off boyfriend of the “Kill Bill” star released a statement on Wednesday saying that he and Fox were finished.

Slimm, the co-founder of the Atlanta based company Plush Blue Entertainment released a statement in which he said, “Hey this is Slimm, unfortunately me and Vivica are no longer dating.  After eight months, it’s time to go our separate ways.  In life you can love and have chemistry with a person, but flaws can sometimes outweigh the relationship.  I wish her the best and I know she feels the same.  Thanks.”

The producer, who is much younger than Fox, later released a second statement saying that he and 46-year-old Fox decided to work things out.

“I want to clear the air about the rushed statement released yesterday about Vivica and I breaking up.  Sometimes a person may act out of anger….Vivica is an important part of my life and I would never try to hurt her.  Thanks for supporting us as we figure things out.”

This is not the first time that an ex-boyfriend went public after breaking up with the “Curb Your Enthusiasm” star.

After her short lived relationship with rapper 50 cents, the rapper made a referenced to her in his song “Get in My Car.” 

“When I was with Vivica I thought I was onto something, then the next week, nah, it was nothing,” 50 said in his song.

Fox, who appeared on Dancing with The Stars, was previously married to singer Christopher “Sixx Nine” Harvest.  The couple divorced in 2002.

In a statement that was released by Nash’s rep it said, Nash “is saddened to announce that his marriage to Christina Milian was unsuccessful.  The couple reached this decision in late 2009, but decided to keep the news private in efforts to protect their baby daughter, Violet. They ask for consideration and respect for their family moving forward.”

The couple eloped last September in Las Vegas then had a second wedding December, 2009 in Rome.

Milian, 28, and Nash, 29, welcomed the birth of their daughter in February.

According to reports, Halliwell and Beckwith were walking on the beach when a much younger woman than Halliwell, who is 37, stepped out of a black Ferrari in short shorts and a bikini top.

Being a healthy heterosexual man, Beckwith’s eyes followed the brunette but before he was able to turn attention back to Halliwell, the singer got into a hissy-fit and started screaming at the aristocrat.

Iceland’s Prime Minister Johanna Sigurdardottir has married her long-time partner Jonina Leosdottir over the weekend making her the world’s first national leader to marry someone of the same-sex.

Before this weekend, Prime Minister Sigurdardottir and Leosdottir were in a civil union, however, on Sunday a new law went into effect defining marriage as a union between two consenting adults regardless of sex and the couple was one of the first to take advantage of it.

The 67-year-old prime minister, who has children from a previous heterosexual marriage, also made history by being the first female Icelandic PM.

Former Vice-President Al Gore allegedly had an affair with the ex-wife of funny man Larry David.

Well, according to Star magazine Gore and Laurie David have been seeing each other for the last two years.

The magazine alleges that David split from her “Curb Your Enthusiasm” husband actor in 2007 after having an affair with the couple’s caretaker.

The daughter of Al and Tipper Gore has separated from her husband of almost thirteen years.

People magazine broke the news of the Gore’s oldest daughter, Karenna Gore Schiff, separating from her husband, Andrew earlier today. 

The news broke only a week after her parents, former Vice President Al Gore and Tipper Gore announced that after 40 years of marriage they were separating.

Schiff, 36, is the oldest of the Gore’s four children. She is a lawyer and author, and has been working on a documentary about inspirational women.

They couple have three young children.

 Reasons for the separation were not given.

In a private email that was written to family and friends, the Gore’s said their decision to separate was “a mutual and mutually supportive” one which came following “a process of long and careful consideration.”

During their eight years in the White House, the couple, who were married on May 19, 1970 at the National Cathedral in Washington, crafted an image of a happily married couple.

It is believed that since losing the presidential election to George W. Bush in 2000, the former vice president and his wife started drifting apart with Al Gore campaigning worldwide to draw attention to climate change, which in 2007 led to a Nobel Peace Prize and an Oscar for the documentary “An Inconvenient Truth.”

In 1985, Tipper Gore co-founded the Parents Music Resource Center which pushed for parental warning labels on music with violent or sexually explicit lyrics.

The Gore’s, who recently purchased a multimillion mansion in California, have four adult children.

A spokesperson for the Gore’s confirmed the separation.
