After losing a Super Bowl bet to her co-host Mario Lopez, Maria Menounos had to strip down to her itty bitsy Giants color bikini in Times Square on Monday.

Thirty-three year old Menounos had bet Lopez that the Patriots were going to win Super Bowl XLVI.

It is unclear who found fifty-four year old Nigel Doughty, who was also the co-founder of private equity firm Doughty Hanson & Co, dead inside his home in Skillington, Lincolnshire, and how he died.

Doughty, who had a net worth of about $205million, founded his private equity firm with Richard Hanson in 1995.  In 1999, he bought Nottingham Forrest for $16.5 million with his personal money and became the team’s chairman three years later.

In October last, Doughty announced he would be stepping down as Forest chairman at the end of the season.

Doughty’s also owned the luggage maker Tumi and British cinema operator Vue and Norti.

Former Summit Preparatory High School student David Velasquez was arrested on Wednesday and charged with kidnapping to commit rape, criminal threats, false imprisonment and assault to commit rape.

According to the arrest affidavit, Velasquez, of Redwood City was waiting for the teacher in the school’s underground garage Monday night.

As the 29-year-old teacher was walking to her vehicle Velazquez approached her from behind ordered her to get into her car while holding a knife to her throat.

The teacher dropped her keys and while she was on the ground Velasquez forced himself on her.  Before he was able to do anything another teacher came upon the scene.

Reports say although the teacher did not see Velasquez’s face she recognized his voice.

Velasquez, who was arrested a short time later at his home, is being held in San Meate County Jail on $1 million bail.

The victim told school officials that the incident occurred at a Rose Bowl party that senior associate athletic director John Chadima hosted at a hotel in Los Angeles on December 30.

The student said after the party, which was attended by staff and student employees- some under the age of 21, ended around 2:00 a.m. on December 31, Chadima asked him to stick around and “have a drink with me.”

The victim said he and Chadima had several drinks and although they were intoxicated they were coherent and “in control of their physical movements.”

The student said Chadima turned to him and asked if he was gay saying that other student employees had thought he was gay also.

Reports say Chadima then removed the victim’s belt from his pants and put his hands inside the student’s underpants.  The student said he slapped Chadima’s hands away and after swearing at him he stormed out of the hotel room.

The student went straight to his immediate supervisor hotel room and told him about the incident.

Chadima was put on administrative leave on January 6 and he resigned that same day.

On the day he resigned Chadima issued an apology saying in part: “I make no excuses and have come to the realization that over the past few months, alcohol had controlled and consumed my life.”

It is unclear whether criminal charges were filed against Chadima.

Twenty six year old Jeffrey Ntuka, who played defender for Chelsea and most recently the SuperSport United, was stabbed during a fight in a club in Kroonstad Township.

Ntuka, who struggled with alcoholism, spent six months at Chelsea playing for the reserve team in 2003 before being loaned out to Belgian club Westerlo for five years.

He then went to Stamford Bridge before returning to his native South Africa for two months.

A 31-year-old Major League Baseball player, who has been playing professional ball since 2006, was arrested this week in Dominican Republic for falsifying his identity.

Fausto Carmona, whose real name is Roberto Hernandez Heredia, was busted after the mother of the real Carmona ratted him out on a popular radio show in Santo Domingo last month.

After an investigation, police arrested Carmona yesterday.

Apparently Carmona had been paying the real Carmona’s family hush money to use his identity.  Recently, the family went to Carmona and asked him for more money after the Cleveland Indians picked up his $7 million club option for 2012 in October, and he refused.  The real Carmona’s mother then called the radio station and outed him.

Carmona, who made $6.1 million with the Indians last season, made his major league debut with the Indians on April 15, 2006 as a starting pitcher.  He was quickly turned into a reliever, but today he is a starting pitcher.

Reports say Carmona’s real age is 31, and not 28 as previously believed.

Wow…lots of questions here….Will the Indians void the new contract?  Where is the real Fausto Carmona?  Will the real Carmona’s mother be arrested on extortion charges?  How was he able to get away with this for over five years?

The video, which was originally posted on BamaSportsForum before YouTube, was taken on January 9 at a Krystal restaurant in New Orleans after the Bowl Championship Series where Alabama beat LSU 21-0.

The video showed a passed-out LSU fan with his head on the table surrounded by several University of Alabama fans.

A male Alabama fan can be seen in the video taking his genitals out of his pants as he climbs over the unconscious victim’s and began grinding it into the man’s face.

Rival fans were also seen sticking straws and fingers up the man’s nose while a person in the background was heard saying, “This guy’s life is over.”

Authorities were able to identify two people in the video, Patrick Setterstrom and his girlfriend, Ellen Cassin.

Setterstrom, whose father is Randy Patrick Setterstrom, the sports director for WKRG TV in Alabama, was seen in the video attempting to expose himself, but luckily for him Cassin stopped it.

Surprisingly, no one in the fast-food restaurant reported the incident to police, including the victim.  But authorities say it is likely that the man did not know that he was the victim to a possible crime.

Officials at the University of Utah Hospital have confirmed that freestyle skier Sarah Burke died Thursday morning.

Both her husband, Rory Bushfield, who is also a skier, and her publicist, Nicole Wool, released statements on Thursday also confirming the death.

A freestyle skier from Canada is in a coma in Utah after an accident during training.

Sarah Burke was training on the superpipe in Park City when she “kind of bounced from her feet to her head,” Peter Judge, the CEO of the Canadian freestyle team said today.

At press time she was in a hospital and her family were flying from Vancouver to be by her side.  An update on her condition was not available.

Twenty-nine year old Burke is a four-time Winter X Games champion in skiing superpipe, a replica of snowboarding’s halfpipe on skis.

Burke lobbied aggressively to have the race included in the Olympics and because of her lobbying; skiing halfpipe will make its debut at the Sochi Games in 2014.

Twenty-one year old Michael T. Phibin was last seen around 2:00 a.m. Sunday when he attended an outing with friends in the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh campus area, about 50 miles from Green Bay.

He was reported missing on Sunday evening.

His body was found around 3:00 p.m. Monday in Fox River.

Reports say a security guard had reported seeing someone standing on the ice in the middle of the river around the time that Philbin was last seen.  He then heard a voice calling for help, but when he went to investigate there was no one there.

Authorities say although there was ice on the river, “the river doesn’t freeze well and with the warm weather we’ve been having, the ice was there but couldn’t support body weight.”

Joe Philbin has been with the Green Bay Packers since 2003, and has been the team’s offensive coordinator since 2007.

This tragedy comes at a time when the Packers are preparing for Sunday’s NFC divisional playoff game against the New York Giants at Lambeau Field.

Omar “El Gato” Ortiz is accused of using his celebrity status to get close to at least 20 wealthy Mexicans, including the husband of pop star Gloria Trevi, who were kidnapped by the cartels.

Authorities in the northeastern city of Monterrey said the 35-year-old athlete, who has been under a two year suspension from the Royados of Monterrey since April 2010 after testing positive for steroids, confessed to receiving payments for helping to select wealthy businessmen as targets in at least two kidnappings.

It is alleged that he received a $7,200 payment for each of his contributions.

Ortiz and three of his accomplices were arrested last week.  He faces up to 50 years in prison if convicted.

Trevi’s husband, Armando Gomez, was kidnapped last October while out with friends in Mexico City. He was released four days later.  It is unclear how much or if any money was paid for his return.
