A well-liked British DJ died from an Ecstasy overdose, authorities confirmed.

Earlier this week, celebrity DJ Shawn Francis was found comatose in his London apartment by Tyrone Wood, the 24-year-old son of Rolling Stones band member Ronnie Wood.

It is believed that Francis drowned himself with about 10 Ecstasy pills and an unknown amount of MDMA powder, the psycho-active stimulant, in an attempt to forget his potential jail troubles.

It is alleged that Francis was facing jail time for breaking a curfew that was set by magistrates when he was caught twice in one week with drugs.

Francis, 24, was the resident DJ at Boujis, the London nightclub favored by Prince Williams and Prince Harry.

Francis’ mother made the agonizing decision to turn off his life-support system on Wednesday.
