Two investors who lost their money with Bernard Madoff received reimbursement checks today.
The Securities Investor Protection Corp, which is a company that steps in when a brokerage firm fails, and is funded by the investment industry, issued the checks today to the two lucky investors.
The company is not saying how much money was issued to the investors and how many more checks they are planning to issue, but investors are eligible for up to $500,000.
Investors who lost money with Madoff have until July to file their claims.
