Chilean police: Simon Venegas hangs self as ex watches on Web cam

Just before hanging himself, a 26-year-old man called his former girlfriend and while chatting with her over the internet, he pointed a web camera at a tree in his courtyard where he hung himself.

Chilean police said Simon Venegas was chatting with his 23-year-old ex-girlfriend last Friday then all of a sudden, he pointed his web cam at a tree where he hung a rope over a branch and told his ex, “Watch what I’m going to do….I love you, take care,” before hanging himself.

The horrified woman called Venegas’ friends to stop him, but unfortunately, they arrived too late.

Venegas was pronounced dead on Sunday.
