Chinese woman, Sheng Fi, tries to jump off building after killing 4-year-old nephew

They were able to save a woman in China from jumping off a nine-story building, but relatives and friends were too late in saving the woman’s four-year-old nephew, whom she admitted to throwing off the residential roof-top.

Sheng Fi was sitting on the edge of the building in Southern China barely holding on to the railing of the 100ft tall building in Zhanjiang, Guangdong province.

Prior to wanting to kill herself, Sheng had smothered her young nephew and thrown his body off the same building she was aiming to jump from.

Reports say Sheng had been embroiled in a bitter fight with her sister-in-law, the young boy’s mother, and as a result of the fight she killed the child.

While Sheng’s daughter was convincing her not to jump, others grabbed on to her feet before she was able to jump.

A police spokesperson said Sheng will be sentenced to death because she admitted to killing the child. Reports say she will face a firing squad.
