Christopher Shays for Fourth Congressional District

We’re heading into the final stretch.   In just four days, voters across the Fourth Congressional District will cast their ballots in one of the most exciting presidential elections in recent history.  We need your support now to make sure voters re-elect the one Republican member of Congress who will work with our candidate to move this country forward.

The New York Times and the Hartford Courant, which endorsed Barack Obama for President, also endorsed Christopher Shays in his re-election bid to the U.S. House of Representatives.  The Hartford Courant wrote “he’s a hard worker and has stood up to his party’s leaders.” And Esquire magazine says “this is a Republican who sees – and fights – the tyranny of the Rovian impulse.”

Your support of Christopher this Election Day will ensure Connecticut retains an independent, bipartisan and effective leader in Congress.  Christopher worked with Democrats to increase fuel economy standards, establish the 9/11 Commission and increase the federal minimum wage.  The Connecticut Post wrote, “When it comes to his legislative priorities in the 110^th Congress, Senator Barack Obama has no better friend in Connecticut than Rep. Christopher Shays.”
