A 26-year-old Missouri man on an interview for a job as a state Highway Patrol shocked his interviewer when he admitted to molesting children.

Christopher Stringham, of Park Hills, was being interviewed for a job with the State Highway Patrol on May 15, when he was asked if he had ever engaged in a sexual crime he could be convicted of and he answered: “yes.”

Stringham, who has never been convicted of a crime before, confessed to inappropriately touching a child several times.  He later claimed each time was an accident.

Stringham was charged with 20 counts of first-degree statutory sodomy.  He is being held on $500,000 bond.
