Coast Guad suspended search for Jennifer Seitz

The Coast Guard has suspended its search for Jennifer Seitz, 36, the woman reported as missing last Friday morning from the cruise ship Norwegian Pearl.

Jennifer Seitz’ husband Ray reported her missing early Friday morning. Security footage showed what appeared to be a woman wearing a white bathrobe falling overboard at 8 PM Thursday night. Although it was unclear if this was Seitz, it was assumed to be so.

Jennifer Seitz and her husband, Ray, had taken the cruise to celebrate their first wedding anniversary. The two are from Winter Haven, Fla.

The ship returned to Miami on Sunday, and FBI agents spoke to the Ray Seitz when they met the ship at the dock. The FBI collected materials on the scene.

“We’re looking to see if a crime was committed on the high seas,” FBI Special Agent Michael Leverock said. The FBI has ruled out Ray Seitz as a suspect, according to WFTV in Orlando.

The Coast Guard suspended its search for Jennifer Seitz Monday afternoon, stating:“The Coast Guard and Mexican navy conducted an exhaustive search for Jennifer Seitz, but have not located her. Our thoughts are with Jennifer Seitz’s family and friends during this difficult time.”
