Three days after her father committed suicide by jumping in front of a railroad train, Colleen O’Connor went to the same located and took her own life the same way her father did.

Around 6:30 p.m. on Thursday October 29, Barney O’Conner left his home in Halesowen, West Midlands, went to the Kidderminster railroad tracks, and committed suicide.

Three days later, Colleen, 39, travelled from her home in Polle, Dorset to the same spot where her father committed suicide and jumped in front of an oncoming train.

It is believed that Barney, 64, had spiraled into depression after his marriage fell apart and his ex-wife re-married.

In a statement that was released by the O’Connor family it said, “Both Barney and Colleen will be sadly missed by the entire family and we would ask that the media allows us grieve collectively in private at this extremely difficult and emotional time.”
