Comedian, Patrice O’Neal, who was a fixture in the New York comedy scene for more than twenty years, died last night after battling diabetes.
Before his death this morning, forty-one year old O’Neal was left unable to speak or move after suffering a stroke last month.
Upon news of his death, Comedy Central announced the re-airing of O’Neal’s foulmouthed standup special “Elephant in the Room” for tomorrow night.
O’Neal leaves behind his mother, Georgia, whom he always referred to as his “best friend,” his sister, Zinder, his wife, Vondecarlo and his stepdaughter Aymilyon.
