Consumer advocate Clark Howard has prostate cancer

Consumer advocate Clark Howard announced today that he has prostate cancer.

Howard, 53, who is one of the best-known consumer experts in the country, revealed this information to his audience on his syndicated radio show.

Doctors have been monitoring his case for about 2 ½ years after a routine Prostate-Specific Antigen test came back with unusual results.

Howard, who is in the early stages of the cancer, said, “Prostate cancer caught early is not a walk in the park, but it is not really that big a deal.  I just wanted to clear the air because rumors take on a life of their own.”
