A convicted New York murderer is set to inherit almost quarter-million dollars from the estate of the woman he confessed to killing.
The sister of deceased Dianne Edwards said “it is not justice,” that her sister’s murderer will inherit the money.
Donna Larsen, Edwards’ sister told a local newspaper that “It’s an outrage. He can’t have that money—it’s just not right. It’s ludicrous.”
In 2008, twenty-four year old Brandon Palladino admitted to killing his 59-year-old mother-in-law, Dianne Edwards, after she caught him stealing her jewelry from her Long Island home.
Edwards’ estate of $431,000 then went to her only daughter, Deanna, who used almost $190,000 on Palladino’s defense.
In February 2010, Deanna Palladino, died at the age of 23 and her estate of about $241,000 went to her husband.
Palladino, who was sentenced to 25 years in prison, minus time served, is due to get the money once he is released from prison, unless Larsen can convince a judge to force Palladino to give up the money or lose his plea-bargain deal.

Follow-up comment rss or Leave a TrackbackThis is a very maddening case. However, this guy isn’t inheriting directly from the person he killed. He’s inheriting from his late wife, who happened to have inherited his victim’s fortune.
