Destinee Hooker is not a prostitute she is Olympian

What the hell was her mama thinking???

There is an American indoor volleyball Olympic player, whose real name is Destinee Hooker, and it gets better, her daddy is a pastor.

With a name like this one can only guess that Destinee’s mother didn’t have much hope for her, however, the 24-year-old athlete is defying her mother’s obvious plans for her.

Destinee opened the Olympics with 21 points in a 3-1 victory over South Korea.  The athlete and her teammates are hoping to do the same today against China.

Destinee is not the only Olympian in her family, her oldest sister Marshevet won gold in Beijing in the 4×100 relay team.

Destinee recently told a reporter she is proud of her name.  She said she nearly died at birth, and when she survived, her father was inspired to give her the name “Destinee.”

“Since I was a blessing, [my father] spelled it uniquely. So I am thankful to be here and glad my Dad gave me the name.”

Destinee said she has been dealing with jokes about her name since she was a child.
