Interesting conversation on the Today show earlier today.

While interviewing the female Olympics rowers, the women told Matt Lauder, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker and Tamron Hall that they have a tradition of throwing of the their rowers into the water.

Matt jokingly said, “The tradition here is NY is you throw her in the Hudson River” to which Al chimed in “Which is different than our tradition which is you throw one of us under the bus, but that’s another story.”

In case you have been living under a rock, Matt is accused of getting former co-host Ann Curry fired. In addition, Ann and Al are close friends.

BTW, what’s up with Tamron Hall appearing on the Today show and not on her regular MSNBC show at 2:00 p.m.? I am going to take a guess that executives are probably thinking of getting rid of Savannah and giving that position to Tamara, which would be a bit of a promotion, because the Today show has a bigger audience. But in my opinion, it’s a demotion because Tamara is a true journalist and the Today show is nothing more than a glorified entertainment show…you know, like Access Hollywood and Entertainment tonight.
