A monorail train at Walt Disney World crashed into the back of another train early this morning killing one driver, a spokesperson for the park said.

According to reports, the accident occurred around 2:00 this morning at a monorail stop at the Florida theme park. Witnesses said one monorail train rammed into the back of a stationary train badly damaging the front car of the train.

In a statement that was released by Disney’s vice president of public affairs, Mike Griffin, he said, “Today we mourn the loss of our fellow cast member.  Our hearts go out to his family and to those who have lost a friend and co-worker.

Other than being shaken, it is believed that there were no other injuries in the accident.

The monorail was shut down while law enforcement conducts an investigation to determine what caused the accident.
