Dr. Richard Batista sues his wife Dawnell Batista for $1.5 million or the return of his kidney

Dr. Richard Batista, from Ronkonkoma, NY, is suing his wife for $1.5 million or the return of a kidney he gave her in 2001.

At a press conference today, Dr. Batista said that he felt nothing but joy when he gave his wife, Dawnell Batista, his kidney.  However, that joy was taken away from him when she had an affair.

In a 700,000-1 odd, Dr. Batista was found to be a match for Ms. Batista, who suffered from failing kidneys for years, and had two previous transplants that failed. 

Fame attorney Dominic Barbara who represents Dr. Batista, said, “The main reason why he [Dr. Batista] is here is because of the way he was treated. Had she treated him right, he would not be here today.”

Barbara accused Dawnell, a pediatric nurse of not allowing his client to see his children.
