A Pennsylvania veteran is accused of having sex with a horse.

Dr. Thomas Lyle Wilson is accused of abusing the animal a little more than two years ago when he was a student at Oklahoma State University.

The 28-year-old doctor appeared in Tulsa County Court last Thursday where he pleaded not guilty to one count of crimes against nature.

According to court documents, on September 14, 2009 while Wilson was a student  at OSU he was working at a facility in the Tulsa area when a veterinarian checking on some horses in the clinic’s barn, via a live video feed, observed him having sex with the animal.

When the vet approached Wilson about the incident he allegedly said “I’m glad you caught me.  I need help.”

Records show that Wilson graduated from OSU with a doctorate of veterinary medicine in July 2010 and in 2009 he worked as a preceptor at Legacy Equine Center in Glenpool.

It is unclear why it took the vet until last summer to come forward to contact the authorities.
