According to the U.S. Geological Survey, a small earthquake hit Greenwich Friday night.
The minor quake, registering 2.1 in the Richter scale, struck Old Greenwich around 9:00 p.m. Friday.
Police in both Greenwich and Stamford received several 911 calls from residents reporting that their homes were shaking.
Authorities said only minor damages were reported.
Although the U.S. Geological Survey acknowledges the earthquake, they did not register it because the agency only records quakes that are 2.5 or higher.
